Mildred Foltz

Mildred G. Foltz, 102, of Newville, died on the afternoon of Monday, November 18, 2013, at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

She was born on January 10, 1911, in Bluefield, WV, a daughter of the late Walter Frank and Elizabeth Baldwin Elswick.

Mildred worked as a fitter, at the former Marden Clothing Co., Shippensburg, retiring in 1976. She was a very giving and loving person who enjoyed spending time with her family. Mildred was a very avid reader and in the past, liked to travel with her late husband, Harry, who died on September 4, 2000.

She is survived by five nieces, seven nephews, six great nieces, four great nieces, ten great great nieces, and eleven great great nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by her sister, Gertrude G. Burkholder.

Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. W. Stanley Darrah will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday, at the funeral home.
