Mildred G. Eckenrode, 77, of Chambersburg, died Saturday, May 5, 2012 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born July 23, 1934 in Middle Spring, she was a daughter of the late Irvin, Sr. and Clara Reed Yohe.
She was a member of the Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon L. Hock and her husband Maynard of Newville, one son, Gregory L. Eckenrode, Sr. and his wife Kim of Chambersburg, five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, two sisters, Anna Burtman of Chambersburg, and Thelma Black, two brothers, Chester Yohe of Shippensburg, and Irvin Yohe, Jr. of Alexandria.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harvey L. Eckenrode who died September 4, 1964. Three brothers and one sister are also deceased.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Antrim Brethren in Christ Church with Rev. Ky Searcy officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg and one hour prior to the services in the church on Wednesday.
