Mildred C. Davison, 91, a resident of Elmcroft of Shippensburg, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015.
She was born May 12, 1924 in Shippensburg. Mildred was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Velva Bowers Chamberlin.
She was a member of the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, Shippensburg. Mildred was a Ruling Elder, a past Secretary and Treasurer of the Women’s Association, and a past Treasurer of the Memorial Fund. She retired from the former McCrae and McCrae Law Firm in Shippensburg. Mildred was a graduate of the former Shippensburg High School and Carlisle Business School.
She is survived by one son, Gary R. (Joyce) Russell of Shippensburg, one daughter, Carol R. (Carl) Reigle of Millersville, one step daughter, Bette Grace Shipley of Pittsburgh, one brother, Fred Chamberlin of Shippensburg, nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her first husband, David B. Russell who died September 8, 1972, her second husband, Rev. Dr. Clarence E. Davison who died July 2, 2000, four brothers, Clifford, Donald, Kenneth, and Robert Chamberlin.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 28, 2015 in the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Kimberley Wadlington. Burial will be held in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, 135 Middle Spring Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
