Michael R. Ott

Michael R. “Mike” Ott, 64, of Shippensburg, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024 at his home, with his loving wife by his side.

Born Monday, January 26, 1960 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Wesley L. and Mary Ellen Lautsbaugh Ott, Sr.

Michael was a member of the Rising Hope Church in Shippensburg, and a member of their Sunday School Class and served on the Church Board. 

He was a truck driver for Cressler Trucking with 15 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, tending to his livestock, and raising his own beef.

Michael is survived by his wife of 34 years, Annette K. (Nearons) Ott, whom he married June 9, 1990; three daughters, Jessica (Josh) Kleese, Shippensburg, Tiffany (Bert) Wheeler, Mt. Olive, NC, and Jennifer Leedy, Hagerstown; two sisters, Carol (Larry) Krall, Shippensburg, Christine L. (Kenneth) Helm, Newburg; four brothers, Wesley L. (Donna) Ott, Jr., Shippensburg, Gary L. (Heide) Ott, Shippensburg, George F. (Sue) Ott, Baldwinsville, NY, and Roy G. (Deborah) Ott, Shippensburg; eight grandchildren, Collin, Jazmyn, Tony, Jayjay, Julionna, Schyler, Jaelyn, and Alora; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Rising Hope Church Crossroads Campus, 593 Walnut Bottom Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257, with Pastor Brent Liechty officiating. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, at the church.
