Mary Jane Taylor, 77, of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle Health, Carlisle.
She was born October 15, 1941 in Baltimore, MD. Mary Jane was a daughter of the late Max and Anna Belle Loveland Colegrove.
Mary Jane retired as the Director of the Rowland Laboratory School at Shippensburg University. She was a member of Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, Shippensburg, and was actively serving as a Ruling Elder. Mary Jane was a member of the Shippensburg Civic Club and was on the Board of Directors at Katie’s Place. She was a member of the International Association of Laboratory Schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Taylor, Sr. who passed away October 29, 2014. One grandson, Mark Heinz and one brother, James Colegrove are also deceased.
Mary Jane is survived by four children, Pam Heinz of Carpintera, CA , Kathryn (Doug) Wilburne of Shippensburg, Robert (Kathy) Taylor, Jr. of Houghton Lake, MI and Patrick (Kim) Taylor of Shippensburg; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Colegrove of Mansfield, and John Colegrove of NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held Monday, November 12, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Burial will be held in the Middle Spring Cemetery on Tuesday at 10 a.m., followed by a visitation that will take place in the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church until the start of the Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Kimberley Wadlington.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, 135 Middle Spring Rd., Shippensburg, PA 17257 or the Jane Goss Field Hockey Scholarship Fund, Shippensburg University Foundation at S.U. Shippensburg, PA 17257.
