Mary V. Strohm, 95, a resident of Green Ridge Village, formerly of Shippensburg, died Thursday, August 25, 2011 in the home.
Born January 11, 1916 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of the late Alfred E. and Iva M. Rosenberry Strohm.
She was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church in Shippensburg. Mary retired from the Penn Pants Factory in Shippensburg and was a graduate of the Shippensburg High School. During Mary’s long life she enjoyed family, music, baseball, and flower gardening.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, John, and Melvin “Bill” Strohm, two sisters, Helen Strohm and Mildred Chamberlin, and a nephew, Michael Strohm.
She is survived by one sister, Martha Booz of Shippensburg and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 29, 2011 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 2 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. The viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
