Mary Smith

Mary E. Smith, 95, a resident at Elmcroft of Shippensburg, died Thursday, January 7, 2016 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born September 30, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Varner Hancock.
Mary was a member of Prince Street United Brethren Church in Shippensburg, she loved to walk and will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
Surviving is one brother, Howard F. (D. Joann) Hancock, one sister, Daisy Mowery, all of Shippensburg, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Smith who died in 1976, one son, David Smith who died in 2007, four sisters, and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., with the Rev. James O. Bolich officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Prince Street United Brethren Church, 20 North Prince Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
