Mary Singer

Mary J. Singer, 76, of Chambersburg, died on the morning of January 13, 2014, at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on April 22, 1937, in Upper Strasburg, a daughter of the late Irwin and Catherine Kendall Cover. On August 22, 1966, Mary married Mr. Lester R. Singer, in Wheeling, WV. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1994.
Mary was employed at the Chambersburg Hospital, in Environmental Services, retiring in 1999, after 20 years of work.
She was very fond of shopping trips, going out to eat with her family, liked watching NASCAR, was an avid ironer, and she really loved to decorate….and then re-decorate her home.
Mary is survived by her four children, Kathryn Fogal, Connie Manges, Randall Miller, and Arnold Singer; two step-sons, Ray Singer and Lester Singer; ten grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; four sisters; and two brothers.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a grandson, Todd, three brothers, and one sister.
Her funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg. The Rev. Rocky W. Spear officiated. Interment followed in the Norland Cemetery.
