Mary H. Hinkle Rebuck Fears, 85, a longtime resident of Shippensburg, went to be with the Lord on the morning of Saturday, February 11, 2017.
She was born on March 27, 1931, in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late Robert and Dora Rotz Hinkle.
Mary was employed at the Letterkenny Army Depot and also the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot, where she retired from.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Rebuck of Tampa, FL; sister in law, Pauline Hinkle of Shippensburg; niece, Susan (Edgar) Shoff of York; and as she always joked, three grandcats.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, James Hinkle, her former husband with whom she remained friends, Roy ‘Pete” Rebuck, and her four legged companion, Mickey.
Her funeral services, entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg, will be private. Interment will take place in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, at a later date.
Mary’s family would like to especially thank her former caregivers Judy and Ruth Holtry, Grane Hospice, and the Leland of Laurel Run Nursing Home fourth floor staff.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grane Hospice or the Humane Society.
