Mary Petruska

Mary L. Petruska, 97, of Orrstown Road, Orrstown, died Saturday, September 25, 2010 in her home.
Born December 3, 1912 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late John Calvin and Mary Ellen Gabler Kane.
Mary was of the Protestant Faith, retired in 1978 from the Shippensburg School District as a cook after 24 years of service.
Mary loved crocheting, cooking, baking and enjoyed feeding everyone who was present.
Surviving are three daughters; Mary Ann Myers and her husband Ray of Pleasant Hall, Linda Jane Schell and her husband David of Shippensburg and Wilma Lee McKenrick of Waynesboro, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John “Boots” Petruska who died October 10, 1973, five brothers, three sisters, one grandson and one granddaughter.
Services will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg with the Rev. Richard E. Mose and Pastor Harold Walton officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Viewings will be held Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday in the funeral home.
