Mary R. Peck, 81, of Roxbury, died Friday, May 27, 2011 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born February 14, 1930 in Cross Keys, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Florence Shoop Vawn.
She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 in Shippensburg and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 842 in Chambersburg.
In addition to Mary’s parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Peck, Sr., one son, Donald Vawn, one brother and five sisters.
Mary is survived by three sons, Barry F. Vawn of East Waterford, Carl E. Peck, Jr. of Roxbury, and James R. Peck of Orrstown, one daughter, Carol A. Huston of Lexington, OH, five grandchildren, two great granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 11 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Ronald S. McElwee. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 7-8 p.m.
