Mary E. Ott, 88, of Shippensburg, died on Friday, May 13, 2011, at Manor Care, Chambersburg.
Born on April 15, 1923, in Dublin Twp., Fulton County, a daughter of the late Harry W. and Virgie M. Regi Naugle.
Mary was primarily a homemaker throughout her life, but in her younger years she worked at the Letterkenny Army Depot as an inspector; the former Shirtcraft, also as an inspector; and the Treat restaurant, as a cook.
She was a past President of the Shippensburg A.A.R.P. #2525 and a past President of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a long time Brownie leader in her younger years, loved to square dance, enjoyed quilting and knitting, and was an organizer of the many A.A.R.P. bus trips.
She is survived by one sister, Faye Gladfelter of Chambersburg; her God Son, Andrew (Dawn) Naugle of Chambersburg; two step-daughters; one step-son; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Fulton, who died on September 29, 1976; her second husband, Charles L. “Chig” Ott, who died on January 14, 2011; three brothers, George “Bill”, Andrew, and Michael Naugle; and one sister in infancy.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul K. Hauk. Interment will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Thursday, at the funeral home.
