Mary E. Myers, 72, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Sunday, June 19, 2022, at her home.

She was born on October 3, 1949, a daughter of the late Clarence and Theresa (Andrelchik) Hollerand. Mary was a 1967 graduate of Throop High School. She married Merle W. Myers in 1970. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2016.

Mary worked as a housekeeper in the hotel industry, retiring in 2009. She was of the Catholic faith.
In her free time Mary enjoyed traveling in general, going to wine festivals, and playing the lottery. She especially loved looking after and caring for the many cats that she had throughout her life.

Mary is survived by her companion, Rusty Lang of Shippensburg; three sisters, Peggy Heim of Texas, Myra French of New York, and Debbie Lindell of New York; brother in law, Galen L. Myers and wife Sandra of Chambersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Owens Brady-Caslin.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, June 24, 2022, in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg. Rev. Dale Detweiler will officiate. There will be no public viewing or visitation prior to her graveside service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter.
