Mary A. Good, 88, a resident of Green Ridge Village, formerly of Roxbury Road, Shippensburg, went to be home with her Lord Friday, January 6, 2012 in the home.
Born May 21, 1923 in Littlestown, Adams County, she was a daughter of the late James G. and Mary A. Wolf Straley.
She was a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God and their KYB Sunday School Class. Years ago Mary worked at H.J. Heinz Company and then worked and retired from Hoffman Mills in Shippensburg.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph E. Good who passed into eternity August 5, 2000 and one brother, Ralph Straley and one sister, Pearl Moorehead.
Mary is survived by three sons, Gary L. Good of Irvine, CA, James W. Good and his wife Debra of Pleasant Hill, MO, and The Rev. Wayne A. Good and his wife Elaine of Shippensburg, one daughter, Patricia A. Hockensmith and her husband Dennis of Walnut Bottom, one sister, Geraldine Broseker and her husband Charles of Baldwin, MD, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two great grandchildren on the way, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in the Shippensburg First Church of God at 1 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. W. Stanley Darrah, and The Rev. William Myers. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg and one hour prior to the services in church.
