Mary Gayman

February 15, 1924 — July 31, 2013

Mary E. Gayman, 89, of Nicholasville, KY, formerly of Orrstown, died on the morning of Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

She was born on February 15, 1924, in Mt. Union, Huntingdon Co., a daughter of the late Vincent S. and Tressie A. Kelley Blake.

Mary was a self-employed beautician for 18 years and had previously worked for the former Greif Co., in Mt. Union.

She enjoyed crochet, flowers, gardening and cooking.

She is survived by step-son Robert E. Gayman, Jr., of Orrstown; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two step-grandson’s; Many great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Grove, who died in 1961; second husband, Robert E. Gayman, Sr., who died on August 27, 2003; her daughter, Lenore M. O’Neal of Tampa, FL; and four sisters.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Dale H. Miller, Jr., will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hall Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Newburg First Church of God at 260 Newburg Rd. Newburg, PA 17240.
