Mary L. “Sis” (George) Dyarman, 83, of Chambersburg and formerly of Oakville, died on the afternoon of Sunday, March 8, 2015 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 19, 1931 in York, York County, she was a daughter of the late Ira L. and Velva P. Bowers George.
She was a lifelong member of the Oakville United Methodist Church. She was a retired farmer’s wife and homemaker. Her passion was her family and farm life. One of her greatest joys was watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren exhibit their cows at the Shippensburg Fair, District, State and National Shows.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul O. Dyarman, Sr. who died August 12, 1992, two sisters, Dorothy M. Graham and Kathryn V. Halter, and one brother, I. Lee George, Jr.
Surviving are three sons, Paul O. Dyarman, Jr. and (wife Sandra) of Shippensburg, Randy L. Dyarman and (wife Debra) of Newville and Michael B. Dyarman and (companion Ron Kahn) of McConnellsburg, three daughters, Deborah A. (Mrs. Michael) Townsend of Carlisle, Beverly J. Clippinger and Rebecca S. (Mrs. Luke) Cessna all of Chambersburg, one sister, Darlene E. (Mrs. Chester) Kling of Shippensburg, seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one step grandchild; three step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakville United Methodist Church with Pastor Don Snyder and Pastor Jon Herb officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., and one hour prior to the service on Thursday in the church.
