Mary Alleman

Mary E. Ott Alleman, 96, of Shippensburg, passed away the evening of Sunday, April 28, 2024 at her home.

She was born on April 22, 1928 in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Stiles Edward and Margaret Pearl Durff Ott.

Mary retired from L’Aiglon Company, Shippensburg in 1975. After retirement, she worked in food service at Reisner Dining Hall on the campus of Shippensburg University. She enjoyed crafting, flowers, bird watching, and being outdoors. Mary was a member of the Red Hat Society and lifelong, active member of Grace United Church of Christ, Shippensburg.

She is survived by four children, Gerald E. (Karen) Alleman, Michael E. (Kim) Alleman, Teresa K. Alleman, and Joel C. (Eileen) Alleman; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three siblings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Alleman; five brothers; and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg with Rev. George W. Heckard officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hall Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
