Martha M. Kelley

Martha M. Kelley, 94, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025 at Green Ridge Village, Newville.

Born Monday, December 22, 1930 in Cleversburg, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late John Lynch and Vergie M. Russell.

Martha worked as a lunch lady at the Shippensburg Area Senior High School, and Penn Pants Company. She later retired from The Beistle Company with 32 years of service.

She was a former member of the South Mountain Chapel, and a former member of the Shippensburg First Church of God. She taught Sunday school classes at both churches.

Martha always hosted the family gatherings on holidays. She loved cooking, and baking. She enjoyed playing BINGO, attending meat raffles, and gospel music. She loved and cherished her family.

She is survived by one son, Larry L. (Deb) Kelley, Carlisle; two daughters, Betty L. (Richard) Bauserman, Shippensburg, and Linda K. Krebs, Mt Holly Springs; one brother, Charles Lynch, Carlisle; two sisters, Newville, Peggy (Dick) Baum, Shippensburgand Blanche Rhone, Emmitsburg, MD; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; daughter in-law, Deb Kelley;and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman S. “Sammy” Kelley, Jr., who passed away March 1, 2000; one daughter, Mary Mael; one son, Roger E. Kelley; one granddaughter, Teresa Kelley; one grandson, David Bowermaster; three sisters, Grace Shannon, Vesta Adams, and Clara Johnson; and one brother, John Lynch.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with The Rev. David Erisman and The Rev. Joseph Baer officiating. Burial will be in Cleversburg Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday, at the funeral home.
