Marlin N. Reiff, 30, of Newville, departed this life on the evening of Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
He was born on September 2, 1986, in Shippensburg, a son of Lloyd and Edna Nolt Reiff.
Marlin worked as a self-employed carpenter and was a member of the Locust Lane Old Order Mennonite Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of seven years, Karen Zimmerman Reiff; his son, Brandon; seven brothers, Russell Reiff, Dana Reiff and wife Ruth Anne, Lloyd Ray Reiff and wife Louann, Merle Reiff and wife Susie, Keith Reiff and wife Wilma Jean, Vernon Reiff, and Loren Reiff; his sister, Lillian Reiff; parents-in-law, Elvin and Etta Zimmerman; paternal grandparents, Amos and Eva Reiff; maternal grandmother, Mary Nolt; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Marlin was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Reiff; paternal grandmother, Anna Mary Nolt Reiff; and maternal grandfather, Jonas Nolt.
His funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m., on Monday, January 23, 2017, at the Locust Lane Old Order Mennonite Church, 35 Hammond Road Shippensburg, PA 17257. Bishop Isaac Weaver will officiate. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the family home, 102 Willis Road Newville, PA 17241.
