Marlin Eugene McBeth

Marlin Eugene McBeth, 90, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Saturday, March 10, 1934 in Shippensburg, he was a son of the late Harry G. “Dick” and Nora Negley McBeth.

Marlin was a graduate of the Shippensburg High School. He served in the United States Army. Marlin retired as an Electronics Supervisor from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg.

He was a member of the Letterkenny Rod & Gun Club, where he taught the hunter safety course. He was also a member of the Wild Turkey Federation. He enjoyed hunting, especially pheasant hunting, bowling, and training his American Water Spaniels

Marlin is survived by one brother, Galen McBeth, Dillsburg; four nieces and nephews, Greg McBeth, Julie Halterman, Lark McClure, and Jenny Febbo; and his loyal companion Rusty.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene R. Williams McBeth, who passed away Spetember 30, 2024.

A graveside service will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Andrew “Andy” Ficks officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marlin’s name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road W., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. is handling his funeral arrangements.
