Marlin M. Bishop, Jr., 72, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at his home with his wife and son by his side.
Born Wednesday, November 1, 1950 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Marlin M. and Elsie Woodrow Bishop, Sr.
Marlin was a Vo-Tech Teacher at Carlisle High School and Harrisburg Vo-Tech. He also worked as a Technical Representative for Carlisle SynTec Systems, and Lowes in Shippensburg.
Marlin was a Penn State University Graduate, and an avid Penn State Football fan.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patricia M. Heishman Bishop whom he married, May 14, 1988; one son Michael (wife Jen) Bishop; two grandsons, Cameron and Dyllan Bishop; one granddaughter, Morgan Bishop; siblings, Linda, Duane, Vickie, Jim, Lucinda “Sam”; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank ProMedica Hospice for the loving care and support given to Marlin and his family.
A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
