Mark L. McCleaf, 54, of Shippensburg, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Conemaugh Medical Center in Johnstown, PA from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born Wednesday, June 19, 1968 in Chambersburg, he is a son of Elvin R. and Annabell Neil McCleaf.
Mark was a 1986 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School and the Franklin County Career and Technology Center. He was a member of the South Mountain Chapel Brethren in Christ Church.
He was a member of the Orrstown Lodge #262 F. & A.M., the Widow Son’s Masonic Riding Association Marked and Hewn, the Minnequa Club, Hub City Club, Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Durff-Kuhn VFW Post #6168, all in Shippensburg, he was also a member of the Amvets Post #224 and the Marine Corp League, both in Chambersburg.
After High School, Mark went to work for Jack Coy Heating and Plumbing, he later worked at Letterkenny Army Depot, Grove Manufacturing, TB Woods, and was presently employed at Volvo as a welder, and worked at the Garden of Gettysburg where he worked maintenance.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Karla Joanne Rapp McCleaf, whom he married August 24, 2013; one son, Mark L. McCleaf, Jr., Shippensburg; two daughters, Amber M. (Jeremy) Crouse, St. Thomas; Megan LeeAnne (companion TJ Shafer) McCleaf, Carlisle; two step sons, Nicholas Weist, York, and Tyler Weist, Shippensburg; two grandsons, Blaise P. Weist, Shippensburg;, and Rhyker A. Crouse, St. Thomas; one sister, Sherry K. (Ronnie) Rotz; Shippensburg; two brothers, Danny R. (Maranda) McCleaf, Thompsontown, and Sam M. (Jodi) McCleaf, Shippensburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with the Rev. David A. Erisman officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with a Masonic service conducted by the Orrstown Lodge # 262 F & A.M. being held at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a viewing one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home.
