Marinda E. Dunlap, 89, of Chambersburg, passed away the evening of Saturday, April 19, 2025 at her home.

She was born on April 28, 1935 in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late R. Clark and Elva Kelso Culbertson. She married John C. Dunlap on October 25, 1952 in Hagerstown, MD. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2019.

Marinda worked at the former Stanley Co., U-Wanna-Wash Frock, and Orweco Dress Factory. She was also a member of the Lurgan United Brethren Church. Marinda was a selfless mother and grandmother who was extremely family oriented. Over the years, she enjoyed babysitting all of her grandchildren. She had a love for animals, especially for her many dogs and cat.

She is survived by four children, John L. (Wanda) Dunlap, Sr. of Chambersburg, Randy C. (Barbara) Dunlap of Orrstown, Teresa F. (John Baker) Ott of Chambersburg, and Lois J. (Roger) Watson of Shippensburg; daughter-in-law, Kay Dunlap; eight grandchildren, Todd (Sara) Dunlap, Irene (Shannon) Jamison, Renee (Donnie) Shauf, Nicole (Duncan) Rine, Kristy Elbertson, Kami (Josh) Shope, Steph (Justin) Hoover, and Derrick (Courtney) Watson; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by one son, Terry L. Dunlap; three siblings, Evelyn Reese, Kenneth Culbertson, and Alice Sleighter; three grandchildren, Travis Ott, Kenny Ott, and John L. Dunlap, Jr.; and one great-granddaughter Savannah Dunlap.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Per Marinda’s wishes, there will be no public viewing or visitation. Marinda will be privately laid to rest alongside her husband in the Otterbein Cemetery.
