Marie F. Belanger

Marie F. Belanger, 80, of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at her home.

Born Monday, March 27, 1944 in Quebec, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Paul E. and Josephine Gobeil Belley.

Marie was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg.

She is survived by her very close friend, Harold “Cliff” Skelton, Shippensburg; one son, Jocelyn M. ”Josh” (wife Robin) Belanger, Shippensburg; one daughter, Maryse C. (husband John) Pommenville, Worthington, MA; four grandchildren, John Pommenville, Richmond, RI, Elyse Pommenville, Holley, NY, Joshua Belanger, Fayetteville, and Nicole Belanger, Shippensburg; two great-grandchildren, Sienna and Jenevieve Pommenville, both of Richmond, RI; and one brother, Yvon Belley, Port Richey, FL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lucien Joseph Belanger, who passed away February 23, 2016.

A memorial mass will be held Monday, August 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg, with Father Benjamin Dunkelberger as Celebrant. Inurnment will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. There will be no viewing or visitation.
