Marguerite Emma Flory, 87, life-long resident of Shippensburg, departed this life on the afternoon of Friday, September 29, 2023.
She was born on November 18, 1935, in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Charles William and Virginia (Adams) Flory.
Earlier in life, Marguerite worked at the former Stanley Clothing Co., as an assistant manager at the former W.T. Grant Co., in the deli at the Shippensburg Wal-Mart, and at the former Kathy’s Deli / Volvo in the cafeteria, retiring on February 24, 2011. She was a life member of the Cumberland Valley Hose Company #2, Shippensburg.
Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Donna Flory Kuhn and husband David, Jr., of Carlisle; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Katherine Keefer, Mildred Wyrick, Lois Shenk, and Charlotte Fisher, and three brothers, Emory, Charles, and Elmer Flory.
Marguerite’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or funeral service. Interment will also be private.
