Margie R. Clough, 88, a resident of Green Ridge Village, Newville, died on the morning of Sunday, July 28, 2013.
She was born on September 1, 1924, in Carlisle a daughter of the late Harry and Elsie Mae Singer.
Margie attended the Shippensburg First Assembly of God. She was a homemaker throughout her life. Margie had a great love for children and provided child care to many of her friends and family members.
She is survived by her son, Charles n. (Kathy) Clough, Jr., of Shippensburg; one grandson, Scott (Beth) Clough of Blairs Mills; two step grandsons, William (Diana) O’Donnell of Dry Run and Daniel (Megan) O’Donnell of Shippensburg; one great granddaughter, Kylee Ruiz; eight step-great grandchildren, Tucker, Tanner, Nate, Moriah, McKayla, Marlee, Allie, and Gage O’Donnell; and three great great grandchildren, Kadee Denison and Logan and Landon Ruiz.
In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles N. Clough, Sr., who died on July 11, 1981; one grandson, Brett Clough; one great grandson, Adam Fleck; two brothers, Earl and Glenn Singer, and one sister, Carrie “Sis” Hershey.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 1, 2013, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Richard A. Black will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mongul Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday, at the funeral home.
