Margareta P. Knox, 88, a resident of Menno Haven, Chambersburg, formerly of Shippensburg passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in the home.
Born November 19, 1928 in Saint Nicholas, Belgium. Margareta was a daughter of the late Constantinus Arthur Augustinus and Bertha Maria Hofman DePryker. In 1955 Margareta was naturalized in Kansas. Her husband, Dannie C. Knox, two sons, Dannie C. Knox, Jr. and William R. Knox, and one sister Martha Maria Dullaert are also deceased.
Margareta was a member of the Prince Street United Brethren Church, Shippensburg.
She is survived by one son, Roy A. Knox and his wife Abigail of Williamsburg, VA, two daughters in law, Judy Knox and Denylu Knox both of Shippensburg, seven grandchildren, Elisabeth, Julie, Corrina, Jessica, Alicia, Bobby and Christopher, eleven great grandchildren, Alex, Tylisha, Tyrell, Jacob, Kiah, Ryleigh, Traevon, Campbell, Logan, Grayson, and Alexander, one great-great grandson, Cooper, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg at 11 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. James O. Bolich. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. There will be no viewing or visitation prior to the services.
