Margaret Catherine “ Marge “ Witter, 81, of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born Sunday, November 3, 1935 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Margaret E. Starliper Cuff.
Margaret retired from the former Greif Manufacturing where she worked as a seamstress.
Margaret was a member of the Oakville United Methodist Church, a life member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 Ladies Auxiliary and a life member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 Ladies Auxiliary where she worked as a waitress at both.
She is survived by three sons; Robert E. Cuff, Mercersburg, William J. (wife JoAnne) Varner, Egg Harbor Township, NJ and Donald Ray (wife Laura) Witter, Shippensburg, one daughter; Kimberly Ann (husband William) Spencer, Newburg, one brother; Theodore “ Sonny “ Cuff, Mercersburg, one sister; Mary Jane Hawbaker, Greencastle, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Robert Witter who died November 6, 2006 and one brother, Paul “ Pete “ E. Cuff.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium with the Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton officiating. Burial will be in Middle Spring Cemetery. A viewing will be held Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
