Margaret “Peg” Etter Warren, 82, of Shippensburg, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Thornwald Home, Carlisle.
Born Wednesday, April 23, 1930 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Etter and Ruth Hoover Etter Mowery Perry.
Peg attended the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. She was employed at the Shippensburg University for 34 years where she worked in food service. She was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church, and the First Court Chapter 470 Order of the Eastern Star both in Shippensburg.
Peg loved taking motor cycle trips with her husband, enjoyed gardening, making Sunday dinner and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Wayne E. Warren, two daughters, Kay Warren (John A.) Culbertson, of Shippensburg and Connie Warren (Kenneth W.) Brehm of Carlisle, three sisters, Mary Danzberger of Shippensburg, Rhoda Eckman of Chambersburg and Laura Heckman of Lynchburg, VA., four grandchildren, Keith Culbertson of Malvern, Kara Glass of Shippensburg, Cortney Redding and Kimberly Korge both of Carlisle, eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Samuel Edgar, Emory and Lester Etter, two sisters, Janet Etter and Dorothy Sleighter and one great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Messiah United Methodist Church, 30 South Penn St. Shippensburg, Pa. 17257 with the Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton officiating. Burial will be in Lurgan Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
