Margaret Tritt

Margaret E. “ Marge “ Tritt, 70, of Upper Horse Valley Road, Upper Strasburg, died Sunday, August 5, 2012 at her home.

Born Wednesday, December 31, 1941 in Adams County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William F. Sr., and Grace E. Holtry Washinger.

Marge was a graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School, a member of the Ridge Church of the Brethren, Shippensburg. She was a social member of Durff-Kuhn VWF Post # 6168, Shippensburg, enjoyed traveling, cooking, music and loved watching game shows.

Surviving is her companion of 28 years, George M. Statler of Upper Strasburg, two sons, Michael D. Tritt and his wife Lisa of Shippensburg, and Ronald L. Tritt of Newville, three brothers, William F. “Bill” Washinger Jr. of Shippensburg, Robert E. “Bob” Washinger of Carlisle and Ray C. Washinger of Shippensburg, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a very special friend Billie Jo Reed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard B. Washinger, and one nephew, Stanley Washinger.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ridge Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Harold E. Yeager and the Rev. Earl F. Stovall officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg, and one hour prior to the service Thursday in the church.
