Margaret Romaine Stouffer

Margaret Romaine Stouffer, 87, of Lurgan, PA, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the Shippensburg Health Care Center.

Born Tuesday, August 17, 1937 in Orrstown, she was a daughter of the late Marlin “Smokey” and Catherine Cramer Carroll, Sr.

Margaret was a member of the Orrstown United Brethren Church. She retired from U-Wanna-Wash Frock Company in Shippensburg. She was a volunteer at the Pleasant Hall Volunteer Fire Company. Margaret enjoyed baking, bowling, golfing, and loved making crafts.

Margaret is survived by three daughters, Debra D. (Tom) Stover, Chambersburg, Glenda R. Lightner, Lurgan, and Bridget R. Stouffer, Orlando, FL.; three granddaughters, Angela R. (Kolby) Turpin, Castle Rock, CO, Melissa S. (Keith) Varner, Greencastle, and Tiffany M. Guyer, Chambersburg; one grandson, Adam Hoch, Newburg; six great grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Revale) Carroll, Florida; four sisters, Elmira “Sissy” Starliper, Shippensburg, Patsy Myers, Amberson, Cassie Heberlig, Enola, and Linda Myers, Newburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Glen Stouffer, who passed away January 24, 2024; one daughter, Ronda Perry; one grandson, Jason Lightner; one brother, Marlin Carroll, Jr.; and one sister, Anna Ott. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with Pastor Rick Runyan officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Hall Volunteer Fire Company, 9722 Cumberland Highway, Pleasant Hall, PA 17246.
