Margaret E. “Peggy” Loper, 91, formerly of Harrisburg, late of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on July 13, 1930, in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Charles F. and Marian (Bomgardner) Loper.
Peggy worked as a custodian for several different establishments for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed watching the Steeler’s during football season. Peggy enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her nieces, whom she stayed particularly close to.
She is survived by her best friend, Sharon Diller of Lemoyne; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her five sisters, Doris, Frances, Marilyn, Gloria, and Delores.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing or visitation. Peggy will be laid to rest beside her mother during a private ceremony at Shoops Cemetery, Harrisburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
