Marcella L. Goshorn, 85, of Shippensburg, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at home.
She was born April 23, 1929 in Nossville. Marcella was a daughter of the late Forest Brady and Alverta Shearer Burdge.
She was a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God. Marcella was a 50 year member of the First Court Chapter # 470 Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Fort Morris Chapter # 2525 both in Shippensburg. She worked at Stanley Company, Hoffman Mills, Roxbury Canning Company, and the Roxbury Holiness Camp. Marcella was a 1948 graduate of the former Orbisonia High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles J. Goshorn who died October 4, 1986, and a brother Gerald Burdge.
She is survived by six children, Connie L. Coons (Ed) of Spring Run, Nancy J. Bailey (Dennis) of Shippensburg, Dennis C. Goshorn (Patricia) of Willow Hill, Doris K. Ranck (Robert) of Newburg, Carl J. Goshorn (Rhonda) of Fannettsburg, and Carson Glenn Goshorn (Kathi) of Port Royal, three brothers, Norman Burdge of Waterloo, William Burdge of Blairs Mills, and Richard Burdge of Fayetteville, two sisters, Virginia Stouffer of Chambersburg, and Arlene Goshorn of Shippensburg, 14 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg at 1 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. William Myers. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home with Eastern Star services at 5:30 p.m.
