Mahlon W. Thrush, 66, of Gardners, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at his home.
He was born November 9, 1948 in Chambersburg, Franklin County. Mahlon was a son of the late John J. and Rozella Mae Hoover Thrush. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John H. Thrush.
Mahlon was the owner and operator of Thrush’s Lawn Service, Gardners. In his earlier years he was a Dairy Farmer in Shippensburg and after that he raised hogs for a period of time. Mahlon was a 1967 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary Lou (Robert) Hershey of Shippensburg, and Rozanna E. (Ray) Myers of Orrstown, a brother, Irvin S. Thrush, Sr. of Amberson, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Robert Murr. Burial will be in Air Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
