Mae H. Linn

Mae H. Linn, 90, of Shippensburg, died on Monday, November 29, 2010, at her home, with her family by her side.
Born on April 25, 1920, in Amberson, PA, a daughter of the late Roy & Janetta Culbertson Stake.
On October 22, 1938, Mae married Mr. Sherwood P. Linn, in Hagerstown, MD. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2003.
Mae was employed at the former Shirt Craft and L’Aiglon clothing factories and the Valley Pride Bakery, all of Shippensburg. She also worked at the News Chronicle for a period of time.
She has been a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God, for many years, and always very active within her church. She was also a member of the Shippensburg Area A.A.R.P. #2525. Mae loved to go shopping with her family and enjoyed having flowers.
Mae is survived by her daughter, Marie Fay (Galen W.) Hershey of Shippensburg; five grandchildren, Yvonne Kay (Michael) Wentz of Greencastle, Steven W. (Wendy) Forrester of Shippensburg, Roger E. (M. Elaine) Forrester of Chambersburg, Suzanne M. (Bryan) Barnhart of Chambersburg, and Wendy Linn Neal of St. Petersburg, FL; fourteen great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Naomi Stake of Amberson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers; two in infancy, and Mr. Frank Stake of Amberson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, December 2, 2010, at the Shippensburg First Church of God. Interment will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc.
