M. Rae Drachbar

M. Rae (McLaughlin) Drachbar, 95, of Chambersburg, passed away the morning of Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Providence Place Senior Living of Chambersburg.
She was born on February 1, 1928 in Airville, PA, the daughter of the late Jesse W. and Louella (Plett) McLaughlin. She was the wife of Albert Drachbar. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1992.
Rae attended Millersville State College, where she met her husband, Albert. She was a previous member of the Memorial Lutheran Church in Shippensburg and current member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Chambersburg.
She is survived by three sons, Terrence A. Drachbar of Carlisle, David A. Drachbar of Boiling Springs, and Dennis M. Drachbar and his wife Julie of Shippensburg; four grandchildren, Kyle Drachbar and his wife Heather, Nick Drachbar, Daniel Drachbar and his wife Caity, and Kathleen Drachbar; and seven great-grandchildren, Natalie Drachbar, Peyton Kissel, Camden, Cameron, Gabriel, Emilia, and Charlotte Drachbar.
In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse “Merle” McLaughlin.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing or visitation. Private graveside services will be held at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, where Rae will be laid to rest alongside her husband.
