She was born on November 20, 1938, in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Coy Ostra.
During her working years, Lynnda was employed at many of the former Shippensburg area garment factories, retiring as a Presser. She enjoyed gardening, reading books, and had a few favorite television programs that she liked to watch. Lynnda really loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by one son, Colby D. (fiance’ Karla Bouder) Neil of Shippensburg; one daughter, Claudia Kurtz-Carter of Chambersburg; one sister, Mary Ann Kenyon of Shippensburg; one brother, Michael J. (Marilyn) Ostra of Greenville, NC; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lynnda was preceded in death by two sons and two sisters.
Her last gift was to donate her body to the medical science field. Therefore, there will be no formal funeral service. Lynnda’s wish was for her loved ones to remember her in their own way. The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg, has been entrusted with her final arrangements.
