Lynn E. Myers, 39, of Shippensburg, went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 11, 2010 in his home surrounded by his family.
Born December 31, 1970 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Ray H. and Rozanna E. Thrush Myers of Orrstown.
Lynn and his family served 5 years in Thailand and are members of the Mt. Rock Brethren in Christ Church, Shippensburg. He was a member of the Boys Brigade and earned the “Heralds of Christ Award”. Lynn founded “Faith 4 Life” their goal is to preach the gospel, heal the sick, feed the poor and care for orphans.
He was a 1989 graduate of the Chambersburg High School, a 1994 graduate of Shippensburg University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems. Lynn was then employed at EDS in Camp Hill as a Systems Engineer and then at Shippensburg University as a Computer Programmer. In 2003 Lynn earned a Master’s degree in Missions and Evangelism at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Amy D. Musser Myers and their five children; Abigail D., Micah L., Anna E., Amariah F., and Josiah R. Myers all at home, one brother Anthony R. Myers and his wife Shawna of Merritt Island, FL, and one sister Michelle A. Denlinger and her husband Dana of Orrstown.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 19, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Mt. Rock Brethren in Christ Church 22 Mt. Rock Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257 Officiating will be The Rev. Lloyd T. Zimmerman. Burial will be in Air Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. in the church and one hour prior to the services Friday morning.
