Lydia Keating

Lydia G. Keating, 94, of Shippensburg, died Monday, January 10, 2011 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born July 17, 1916 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Mary Klopp Borrell.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church and the Shippensburg Senior Center. Lydia retired from Penn Pants in 1978 after 45 years of employment.
She is survived by a son, James W. Keating and his wife Vicki, three grandchildren, one step granddaughter, five great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Keating who died February 3, 1997, two brothers, seven sisters and one granddaughter are also deceased.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 14, 2011 in Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Father Dwight D. Schlaline. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in church on Friday.
