Luella Mae Pomeroy, 94, of Shippensburg, passed away the morning of Thursday, March 25, 2021 with her loving family by her side.
Born on Friday, January 28, 1927 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Maye (Shoap) Shank.
Luella was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Chambersburg Marine Corps League, past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pleasant Hall Volunteer Fire Company, Cumberland Valley 21 Day Retreat Organization, and was a VAVS Representative of the Martinsburg VA Center. She was also a member of the Greenvillage Church of God.
She enjoyed knitting and playing dominos. Luella also loved to paint and play the piano.
She is survived by two daughters, Diana J. (John R.) Wadel of Shippensburg and Annette Y. (Greg) Hann of Orrstown; five grandchildren, Steven Wadel, Scott Mackey, Jill Mackey, Kimberly Miller, and Shelly Burger; six great grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Janet Pomeroy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie J. Pomeroy who passed away on July 22, 2008. Also preceding her in death is one son, Allan R. Pomeroy.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. Pastor Jeremy Garman will officiate. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Monday, March 29, 2021 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
