Lucinda Laray Keesecker, 73, of Shippensburg, formerly of Chambersburg and Hedgesville, WV, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 at her home.
Born Thursday, February 5, 1948 in Huntingdon, PA, she was a daughter of the late Lester Franklin “Sarge” and Ruby Jane Enders Hoover.
She retired from City Hospital East, Martinsburg, WV after ten years of service and previously worked at the former Stanley Company (J. Schoeneman Company) in Chambersburg with 29 years of service.
Lucinda attended St. Bernadette’s Catholic Mission, Hedgesville, WV and later Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg, PA.
Her hobbies included doing crafts, bluegrass music, craft shows, flea markets, sightseeing, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Spencer Keesecker; three daughters, Toni L. (Curt) Calvert, Tracey L. (Donnie) Hughes, and Terry L. (Matt) House; step-children, Amy (Paul) Wannemacher, Joy (Tim) Hall, Kathryn Cook, Eric Keesecker, Aaron (Tammy) Keesecker, and Jason Keesecker; two brothers, Dale H. (Daisy) Hoover, Robert L. (Jyl) Hoover; one sister, Vickie L. (Mark) Sipes; 19 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Franklin Hoover, Jr.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
