Lucia F. Chamberlin, 89, of Shippensburg, died Monday, March 9, 2015 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
She was born August 25, 1925 in Orrstown, Franklin County. Lucia was a daughter of the late Hayden and Ida Barrick Stitt.
She was a member of the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, Shippensburg. Lucia drove bus for both McBeth Busing Company and Head Start. She was an Aid for Head Start in Shippensburg. Lucia was a 1943 graduate of the former Shippensburg High School.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Chamberlin who died June 23, 1988. Five brothers, one granddaughter, and two great granddaughters are also deceased.
Lucia is survived by three sons, David C. Chamberlin of Carlisle, Wilbur C. (Janice) Chamberlin, and Allan R. Chamberlin all of Shippensburg, two daughters, Cindy L. Chamberlin of Shippensburg, and Betsy J. (Mark) Johnson of King George, VA, six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Kimberley Wadlington. Burial will be in Middle Spring Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in Church on Wednesday morning.
