Louise H. Shoap, 94, of Newburg, died on Friday, April 16, 2010, at her home.
Born on September 15, 1916, in Mt. Holly Springs, a daughter of the late Joe and Annie Stevick. A 1935 graduate of the Shippensburg High School.
Louise was employed at the former Nettie Dress Factory, Shippensburg, from where she retired and also worked at the former Fort Morris Hotel, which was owned and operated by her parents.
She attended the Newburg First Church of God and was a member of both the Durff-Kuhn V.F.W. Post #6168 and the Minnequa Social Club, Shippensburg.
Louise is survived by her son, John E. Foltz of Newburg; her caregiver, Angie Zimmerman of Shippensburg, and good friends, Don and Nancy Thomas. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Merle E. “Pappy” Foltz; her second husband, Orville Shoap; and one sister.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.
