Louise Hoch Naugle, 95, a resident of the Shook Home, Chambersburg, died on the morning of Saturday, May 9, 2015.
She was born on December 16, 1919, in Mongul, a daughter of the late James and Romaine Kelso Hoch. Louise married Ross Arnold Naugle on June 4, 1939. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1970.
Louise worked as Secretary for the Shippensburg Chamber of Commerce many years ago. She has been a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church in Shippensburg for over 45 years. Louise enjoyed bridge club with her friends, flowers, traveling, and just simply being with her family. She loved watching The Lawrence Welk Show and visited the Welk Resort in Escondido, California.
She is survived by four children, Nancy N. (Paul) Jacobs of Starkville, MS, Carol N. Shonk of Quarryville, Linda N. (Donald) Dickinson of Shippensburg, and David Ross (Linda) Naugle of Mt. Holly Springs; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Louise was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at the Memorial Lutheran Church, Shippensburg. The Rev. Dr. Robert Seibold and Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday morning at the church.
Flowers may be provided for the service or memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Lutheran Church at 34 East Orange Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
