Loretta Duffy

Loretta B. Duffy, 73, of Newburg, went to be with the Lord on the morning of January 1, 2013, at her home.

She was born on January 22, 1939, in Lark Twp., Juniata Co., the daughter of the late George L. and Blanche A. Rine Williamson. On August 6, 1957, Loretta married Rev. Charles H. Duffy, at the Church of God, Shippensburg. After 54 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on July 14, 2012.

Loretta was a homemaker and minister’s wife. She was a member of the Upper Strasburg Church of God and loved her church dearly. In her spare time, Loretta enjoyed vegetable gardening and was especially fond of tending to her roses.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol A. (Rev. James) Hull of Jacksonville, FL; two grandsons, Justin N. (Amanda) Hull of Largo, FL and Marcus A. Hull of Jacksonville, FL; two great grandchildren, Ashtyn and Austen Hull of Largo, FL; one brother, Norman (Donna) Williamson of Newville and one niece, Karen Williamson of Newville.

A homecoming celebration will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2012, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Keith R. Bell will officiate. Interment will be in the Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the services on Friday morning, at the funeral home..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Upper Strasburg Church of God c/o: The Sign Fund at P.O. Box 68 Upper Strasburg, PA 17265.
