Lois W. Snouffer, 84, of Walnut Bottom, departed this life on the morning of Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on October 21, 1935, in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Dyarman and married Maxwell Snouffer on August 24, 1953.
Lois was employed at Knouse Foods, the former Renee’s Sewing Factory, and at the former Hoffman Mills, where she worked as a filler. She was a member of the Durff-Kuhn V.F.W. Post #6168 Ladies Auxillary and the Minnequa Social Club, where she enjoyed going to dances. In her free time, she enjoyed being at home, just passing time sitting on the porch.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Maxwell; four children, David M. Snouffer of Willards, MD, Doreen L. Heckman of Shippensburg, Susan G. Singer and husband Ray of Shippensburg, and Lonnie G. Snouffer of Shippensburg; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; eight siblings, Reba Bowermaster, Twila Piper, LaVonda Graham, Crystal Yohe, Charlotte Graham, Helen Reed, Teresa Pankiewick, and Dennis Dyarman; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy L. Watson and three siblings, Charles Dyarman, Richard Dyarman, and Darlene Eyre.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Jim Rogers will officiate. Interment will be private. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
