Linda L. Yost, 63, of Shippensburg, died on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at her home.
She was born on April 14, 1951, in Ephrata, a daughter of the late Lloyd L. and Cora F. Sensenig Ludwig, and married Mr. Richard A. Yost on February 10, 1968, in Adamstown.
Linda was a homemaker throughout her life. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who deeply touched everyone that met her. She was very giving and was always willing to help. Linda loved to dance and spend time with her family and friends and she was very proud of her Native American heritage.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Richard; her son, Richard C. Yost; her daughter, Shannon L. (Kenny Crouse) Yost, all of Shippensburg; two grandsons, Jordan D. Yost of Shippensburg and Joshua I. Brosious of FL; one sister, Ruth Beck; two brothers, Ralph Frankford, Jr. and Eugene Frankford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Fern Busser; and three brothers, James, Robert, and William Frankford.
Linda was a life member of the Durff-Kuhn V.F.W. Post #6168 Ladies Auxiliary; a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223 Auxiliary; a social member of both the Minnequa Social Club #375 and the Moose Lodge Chapter 2153; all of Shippensburg.
Her funeral service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, April 28, 2014, at the Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Rev. Bob ‘Ghost” Costa will officiate. Viewing will be Sunday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg.
