Linda Kay Tanger, 63, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Thursday, May 17, 2018, at her home.
She was born on June 10, 1954, in Carlisle, a daughter of the late Leo G. and Ruth Hill Tanger, Sr., and was a 1972 graduate of Boiling Springs High School.
Linda was employed as a clerk at the former MGM Pharmacy, Newville, for over twenty years. She was a member of the Shippensburg Kiwanis Club. Linda enjoyed gardening, loved her dogs, and especially loved spending time with her two grandsons.
She is survived by her son, Patrick (Christa) Griffie of Cecilton, MD; grandsons, Evan and Jacob Griffie; two sisters, Shirley Kramer of Mt. Holly Springs and Donna Myers of St. Petersburg, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and George Tanger; and one sister, Pauline McCoy.
Her funeral services, entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg, will be private. Interment will be held in the family plot at Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
