Linda K. Reeder, 67, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Friday, June 11, 2021, with her loved ones by her side.
She was born on January 31, 1954, in Middle Spring, a daughter of the late Garnet I. and Sarah C. (Crider) Reeder, was a 1971 graduate of Shippensburg Senior High School, and a 1974 graduate of Shippensburg University.
Earlier in her life Linda worked at SKF in Shippensburg, until its closing, where she traveled all over the world training employees on the company’s computer systems. She then worked as a teaching assistant for the Chambersburg Area School District, retiring in 2016, from the Fayetteville Elementary School.
Linda attended the Prince Street United Brethren Church, Shippensburg. She enjoyed traveling, reading, solving Sudoku puzzles, and going out to eat. Linda loved being around children and especially spending time with her loved ones.
She is survived by two brothers, Ernest L. Reeder (wife Lavonne) and Roy G. Reeder, both of Shippensburg; her sister, Doris A. Dunlap of Newburg; two nieces, Dory A. Thomas (husband Eric) and Danielle A. Reeder, both of Shippensburg; three nephews, Bradley L. and Brian W. Dunlap, both of Newburg and Travis J. Reeder of Shippensburg; two great nieces, Tiffany L. Jacinto (husband Jose) and Chelsea C. Radabaugh, both of Shippensburg; one great nephew, Weston Reeder of Shippensburg; and five great-great nieces and nephews; Lydia Tolentino, Eric Jacinto, Sofia Jacinto, Oliver Jacinto, and Kamryn Martinez.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, June 18, 2021, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will follow in the Mongul Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
