Linda Diane Miller, 66, formerly of Shippensburg, late of Chambersburg, departed this life on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on April 16, 1955, in Chambersburg, daughter of the late George R. and Gladys (Hall) Commerer.
Most recently, Linda was employed in the deli at the Butcher Shoppe, Chambersburg. In her free time she did quite a bit of reading and enjoyed going to the Grove Family Library in Chambersburg. Linda had an excellent voice and was a wonderful singer, which she did as a choir member at some of the different churches she went to over the years. Currently, Linda was a member of the Open Door Church in Chambersburg.
She is survived by her brother, G. David Commerer of Orrstown; two nephews, Scott Commerer and wife Melinda of Fayetteville, and Kip Commerer and wife Tina of Shippensburg; aunts, Peggy Ditzler of Shippensburg, Barbara Eagle of York, and Louise Commerer of Shippensburg; and numerous cousins.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. A public memorial service, held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the Open Door Church, Chambersburg. Pastor Mike Sanders will officiate. Linda will be laid to rest along with her parents in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Open Door Church at 600 Miller Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
